Reflections on PSLE

At first, I wanted PSLE to come as soon as possible as I wanted to play after PSLE. But after realising that my PSLE score would affect the secondary school which I go in and that the secondary school which i went to will affect part of my future , I decided to study for PSle and would observe on my preliminary score to improve. But my preliminary score was not that ideal and I now dread each day that PSle was coming.

My new computer!

Wow! I loveeeeee 13th of march 2010! I got a brand new computer! It's Acer Aspire X5900. My mum bought it when there was a i.t. show at suntec city. It has a 4 GB Ram,1TB HDD and a new i5 processor! Well,my mum bought this computer at a price of $1299, not exceeding her budget of $1500. The reason why my mum bought this computer is because our old computer is spoilt and my father needs some time to fix it,but by the time he fixes it, it will already be over the march holidays. So my sister,my mother,my father and I went to suntec city i.t. show to get a cheap yet good computer. At suntec city,it was crowding with a sea of people! My father went to look at some of the branded "Dell" computers while my sister, my mum and I went to look at compaq destops. After being seperated for less than 2 minutes, we got lost and fianally found each other and the acer desktop show room. We saw a computer which had been the best of all the other computers we saw and they gave us free gifts and good service. We bought the computer and my mum went to the lucky draw at level 2. My father carried the computer to the 1st floor and waited for my mum,me and my sister. Meanwhile, when we reached the second floor, my mum went to the lucky draw herself and my sister and I sat near the entrance of the second floor showroom. My mum won cash card vouchers but she did not bring her cash card so she exchanged the vouchers for 4 peach drinks instead. We went to the first floor to find our father and we waited for almost 25 minutes for a taxi. I went home, tired yet with a smile on my face.

Time passes so quickly. The class test is over and march holidays are coming! Sadly, my computer is overheated and I cannot play my computer games. Well, guess the only thing I can do during the holidays are homework, homework, homework, studying and going to tuition lessons.Hmmm... Looks like I have to study harder... the results for my class tests were not my ideal marks as i aim to score at least 240 aggregate. PLease comment. All constructive comments are the best. Signing off, bye!

Week 5

This week was sooo boring.I repeated the routine of going to school, doing morning duty, came home or went to structured then did my homwork.Well,at least the load of homework seems to be fine to me,and I had to do morning duty! My favourite duty! Although it seems fun,but sometimes we will bump into situations such as the parents being late and not enough time to write down the forms.I hope the next week it will be better!

Responsibility in words and deeds

I think responsibility in words and deeds means that when you say something, you must do what you say. If we did something wrong, we should take responsibility of what we did. So if example,I broke a vase. I should take responsibility by cleaning up the mess and admit my mistake.

Graciousness

Graciousness is about being pleasantly kind, benevolent, and courteous.
If everyone is gracious, than there will not be people littering, shouting in public and etc.
First example :
Every time when I board SBS Transit or SMRT Buses, I greet the Bus Captains with a cheery "Good Morning!" regardless of which bus I am on. In addition, the vendors at the drink stalls I frequent at Tanjong Pagar, Chinatown and Harbourfront always ask me how my day is going. I appreciate their care and concern for me very much, and I try to pass this on to others too. *adapted from http://kindness.sg/?q=node/27

Second example : Just be a gracious person in accepting thanks and appreciations. Be gracious in accepting your debt to others. Be gracious to people who helped you on your way. Be gracious to favors that others have shown. Be gracious when someone is remembering you. Be gracious in forgiving some oversights. After all it is only from your mistakes that you learn more than from your successes.

When you are gracious, others in your immediate environment also become gracious. All it takes is one person being gracious so as to make a difficult situation becoming easy and moving on smoothly.
